The petitioners have filed this writ petition for a direction to the Collector, West Champaran, Bettiah to take decision on the petition of the petitioners for settlement of lands on which they have constructed their houses after erosion of their residential houses in the flood of river Gandak. The petitioners earlier moved this court in C.W.J.C.

Patna High Court CWJC No.8007 of 2018 (2) dt.05-07-2018 2/2 No.1368 of 2009 and C.W.J.C. No.5226 of 2009 against the order of settlement made in favour of 129 persons on the lands on which the houses of the petitioners are standing. This court directed the authority, respondent no.3 to take decisions and pass a reasoned order within three months but no order has yet been passed. I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Bettiah to pass necessary order in accordance with law on the representation of the petitioners within three months from the date of receipt of this order, in pursuance of the order dated 10.01.2011 passed in C.W.J.C. No.1368 of 2009 and C.W.J.C. No.5226 of 2009.
