The sole grievance of the petitioner is that the compromise which has arrived between the two communities in a meeting held on the direction of the Collector, Darbhanga and under the Chairmanship of the then Sub-Divisional Officer, Biraul held in Biraul Police Station should be given effect. It is contended that the new Sub-Divisional officer has now started to encircle the boundary wall of the 'Kabristan' without following the terms of the amicable settlement.

Patna High Court CWJC No.10462 of 2015 (2) dt.26-02-2016 2/2 Mr. Ragib Ahshan, Senior counsel appearing for the intervenors also submits that since the amicable settlement is in presence of both the sides, there is no reason for backtracking. Having regard to the aforementioned facts and circumstances, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the Collector, Darbhanga to look into the matter and act accordingly.

Till a decision is taken by him, let the status quo as existing today on the concerned plots be maintained by the parties. It is expected that the decision would be taken within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
