Mithila University and Mr. Rana Bhupendra Narayan Singh, learned counsel for the State.
Mr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ application, the University has issued notification dated 16.5.2018 which redresses the grievance of the petitioner for payment of salary for the period the teachers were on strike as the Syndicate has already decided to treat the period as earned leave.
Patna High Court CWJC No.20624 of 2011(8) dt.22-06-2018 2/2 Mr. Singh further submits that the other issues raised in the present writ application is covered by the decision of a coordinate bench in C.W.J.C. No. 7837 of 2012 vide order dated 6.8.2012.
In view of the above, the University may consider the case of the petitioner in the light of the notification dated 16.5.2018 and the decision of the coordinate bench in C.W.J.C. No. 7837 of 2012 dated 6.8.2012 and take final decision with regard to claim of the petitioner within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The Court hope and trust that respondents if find the case of the petitioner covered by the aforesaid judgments of this Court and notification of the University will extend all consequential benefit within the time frame as indicated hereinabove.
With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
