The grievance of the petitioner is that though he had applied for grant of arms licence on 17.01.2011 but no final decision has been taken as yet by the Licensing Authority. Counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondent no.4 discloses that the police verification report was sent to the licensing authority in the year 2013 itself.

In above view of the matter, this writ application stands disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Saharsa to take a final decision in the matter on its own
