The petitioner seeks regular bail in registered for the offences punishable under sections 498A/307and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, this petitioner inflicted sword blow in the abdomen of the informant' daughter as a result of which she sustained incised injury in the abdomen. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happens to be husband of the victim. He submits that due to some family feud some altercation took place between the petitioner and the victim and petitioner had no intention to cause her grievous injury. He is ready to keep her with honour and safety. Petitioner is in custody since 16.9.2021.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.72461 of 2021(3) dt.28-04-2022 2/2 Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the informant oppose the prayer for bail. They submit that the petitioner mercilessly assaulted the victim as a result of which she sustained grievous injury in her abdomen caused by sharp and hard substance.

Considering the nature of accusation and the injury sustained by the victim at the hands of the petitioner, his prayer for bail is refused.
