Petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A of the I.P.C and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. It is alleged that informant fixed the marriage of his daughter with petitioner No. 1 when petitioner No. 2 is father of petitioner No. 1. Initially cash of Rs. 1,51,000/- and jewellary were given and subsequently Rs. 5,51,000/- was given but subsequently demand of Rs. 15,00,000/- were made as a result of which the marriage could not be performed. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that accusation appears to be unreasonable when there is no proof of any payment.

Considering the nature of accusation, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of 12 weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned SubDivisional Judicial Magistrate, Bikramganj, Rohtas in connection with Karakat P.S. Case No. 172 of 2013, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. (Dinesh Kumar Singh, J) Shageer/- U T
