2. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to correct the name of the village of the petitioner in course of the day.

3. Permission is accorded.

4. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Maranga P.S. Case No. 73 of 2025 dated 06.03.2025 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 61(2), 80 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

5. The prosecution case, in short, is that the informant alleges that his daughter was married to Md. Shaif Alam on 24.04.2024 and after three months of the marriage, the husband and the accused persons started demanding dowry of Rs.25 lakhs

Further, on 05.03.2025, at 12:20 p.m., the father-in-law informed that his daughter is undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital, Purnea, accordingly, the informant reached the hospital but he did not find his daughter there and thereafter, he came to her matrimonial home where he found the dead body of his daughter lying having black spot over neck, face and other parts of the body.

6. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. It is submitted that the petitioner being the father-in-law have been falsely implicated in this case and further it is submitted that the marriage of the daughter of the informant with the son of the petitioner was a love marriage, as such, the parents (petitioner and his wife) were not on good terms with the husband of the deceased. It is apparent from the F.I.R. that the petitioner informed the informant that her daughter is under going treatment at hospital and based on the said information, the informant came to the matrimonial home of the deceased. It is submitted that husband of the deceased is in judicial custody. It is further submitted that the allegation of demand of dowry and torture is general and omnibus in nature. Lastly, it has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 11.07.2025, having no criminal antecedent and

7. Learned A.P.P for the State and learned counsel for the informant opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the informant submits that the daughter of the informant has been killed by the in-laws of the deceased.

8. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Purnea in connection with Maranga P.S. Case No. 73 of 2025.
