The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence under Sections 406, 409, 420/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, this petitioner is alleged to have taken bribe from some beneficiaries for the purpose of allotment of Awas (house) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner is neither the office bearer nor any local representative and as such, there is no occasion for him to demand any bribe. Petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case due to village politics. Petitioner has got clean antecedent and he is in custody since 05.10.2021. Investigation is complete.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the bail petition.

Let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamui in connection with Laxmipur P.S. Case No. 427 of 2020, G.R. No. 3578 of 2020.
