ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 13-11-2024 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has stated that even though the petitioner has been selected by the District Level Selection Committee, the petitioner till date has not been issued the necessary orders for allotment of the PDS license. Learned counsel has further stated that the petitioner has made a representation to the District Magistrate -cum-the Chairman, the District Level Selection Committee, Rohtas at Sassaram (Respondent No. 2) for issuing the license and the Respondent No. 4 vide letter dated 13.12.2023 bearing letter no. 654 has requested the Respondent No. 5 to take a decision strictly in accordance with law.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has stated that the Respondent No. 5 may be directed to take a necessary call for allotment of the PDS license in favour of the petitioner duly taking into consideration the letter dated 13.12.2023 (annexure P/6) issued by the Respondent No. 4.

Without going into the merits or demerits of the case having regard to the fact that the petitioner has already been selected the PDS license by the District Level Selection Committee, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the parties. The SubDivisional Officer, Sasaram, Rohtas (Respondent No. 5) is directed to take the decision for issuance of PDS license in favour of the petitioner duly taking into consideration the letter dated 13.12.2023 (annexure P/6) issued by the Respondent No. 4 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
