2. The petitioners approached before this Court by invoking its jurisdiction, seeking a direction upon the respondents specially respondent no. 4 to mutate the land(s), in question in favour of the respective petitioners, for which the

Patna High Court CWJC No.15546 of 2024(2) dt.08-10-2024 2/3 applications are pending before the respondent no. 4 since long.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioners contended that the forefather of the petitioners namely Thithru Mandal had purchased the land appertaining to Khata No. 490, Khesra No. 2339 admeasuring 11 Acre 15 Decimal from Khatiyani Raiyat namely Dhanik Lal Poddar and Baikunth Lal Poddar.

The petitioners being heirs of Thithru Mandal have been coming in peaceful possession of the land and, as such, they filed respective applications for mutation of their land, the details of which have been duly mentioned in paragraph no. 4 of the writ petition. The applications for mutation have also been brought on record by way of Annexure 3 series.

5. Learned Advocate for the State at this juncture submits that since the petitioners have already filed applications for mutation, which are pending before the Circle Officer who is the competent authority, he shall look into the matter and pass appropriate order in accordance with law.

Considering the nature of the grievance, this Court deems it fit and proper to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Circle Officer Rupauli, District Purnea, to take up the applications filed on behalf of the petitioners and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a

Patna High Court CWJC No.15546 of 2024(2) dt.08-10-2024 3/3 period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
