The instant writ petition is pending of payment of arrears of salary for the month of October and November 2003. Unfortunately neither the State nor the University has filed any counter affidavit.
In the aforesaid circumstances, the Court is constrained to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent Vice-Chancellor, B.N. Mandal University, Madhepura to verify the record and take appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner and if it is found that petitioner has actually worked for October and November 2003 he should be
Patna High Court CWJC No.14261 of 2015(2) dt.03-12-2018 2/2 paid the arrears of salary for the aforesaid period within a maximum period of two months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
Failing which the entire arrears will carry interest at the rate of 9 per cent per annum from October 2003 till the date of actual payment. Interest component shall be payable by the V.C/ Registrar of the University from their own pocket. With the aforesaid the writ petition stands disposed of. (Anil Kumar Upadhyay, J) T.Kr./- U
