The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That, this is an application for issuance of appropriate writ (s)/ direction (s) commanding the respondents to select/appoint the petitioner on the post of Kakshpal under Advertisement No.10 of 2013 as the petitioner has participated in written examination as well as medical test in which he has passed successful, but his candidature has been rejected on flimsy reason that he was minor at the time of appointment as Home Guard contrary to the decision of this Hon'ble High

Patna High Court CWJC No.16346 of 2015(2) dt.08-09-2023 2/2 Court and also for grant of all other reliefs/benefits for which the petitioner is entitled to."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondentState has referred to a letter dated 15.09.2015, written by the Director General of Police, Jail & Reforms (Home Department), Govt. of Bihar, calling for information regarding the case of the petitioner from the Bihar Home Guard Department at Motihari, hence it is submitted that the matter be remanded to the Director General of Police, Jail & Reforms (Home Department), Govt. of Bihar, for taking a final decision in the matter, which is not opposed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Accordingly, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Director General of Police, Jail & Reforms (Home Department), Govt. of Bihar, to take a final decision with regard to the case of the petitioner, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
