Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that husband of the petitioner was appointed way back on 16.8.1976 and he was regularized as non teaching staff by the Magadh University vide Annexure-2. The husband of the petitioner died on 26.6.2015 but till date no decision one way or the other has been taken by the respondents in the matter of compassionate appointment.

Without going to the merit of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision in accordance with law and decide the

Patna High Court CWJC No.18742 of 2019(2) dt.13-09-2019 2/2 claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, if permissible within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
