The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57943 of 2019(2) dt.16-09-2019 2/3 with Complaint Case No. 1375C of 2017, registered under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The accusation is of torturing the complainantopposite party no. 2 by her husband and in-laws due to nonfulfillment of demand of cash Rs.3,00,000/- as dowry and removing from her matrimonial house.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner nos. 1 and 2, namely, Ramswarup Thakur and Uma Devi, are father-in-law and mother-in-law respectively, petitioner nos. 3 and 4, namely, Chandan Thakur and Nandan Thakur, are brothers-in-law and petitioner no. 5, namely, Guriya Devi, is Gotani of complainant-opposite party no. 2 and they have falsely been implicated in this case with general allegation of demand of dowry.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioners be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jamui, in connection with Complaint Case
