Case No. 18/2017, registered for offences punishable under Sections 30(A) and 35(A) of Bihar Prohibition Excise Act, 2016.
Allegation, as per F.I.R., against the petitioner is that more than 1400 litres liquor was recovered from the pick-up van of the petitioner.
It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that as a matter of fact, the liquor belongs to Chotan Rai and persons of Chotan Rai forcibly asked the driver of the pick-up van to load and carry the liquor. The petitioner is not related with the aforesaid seized liquor and now he has remained in custody for about four months.

Having heard both sides, in view of the fact that more than 1400 litres of liquor from one truck and petitioner's pick-up van was recovered, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
Learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same within six months. The petitioner may renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within six months from today.
