ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 23-09-2025 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that his father, namely, Shiv Kumar Singh was a licensee under the Public Distribution System (PDS) having PDS License No. 64/2016 and he died on 13.06.2022. The petitioner being his son, has made an application to the authorities on 17.03.2023 but till date, the authorities have not passed any order on the same.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner left with no other alternative remedy has filed the present writ application.

Per contra, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents-State submits that the present writ petition may be disposed of directing the competent authority i.e., the Sub Divisional Officer, Jehanabad (respondent no. 3) to consider the application made by the petitioner and pass necessary orders.

4. Having regard to the same, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no. 3 to consider the application of the petitioner dated 17.03.2023 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The authority shall pass necessary orders after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. In case any clarification is sought, the petitioner shall be put on notice and shall be given an opportunity of submitting the requisite documents.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
