2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though the bail petition of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 05.05.2023 in Cr. Misc. No. 2959 of 2023, the petitioner is renewing his prayer for bail on the ground that other co-accused persons have been granted bail by the coordinate Benches of this Court and the case of the petitioner is on better footing than that of those who have been granted bail as they were named in the FIR, whereas the petitioner was not named.

3. A report regarding progress of trial was called for from the court below which has been received. From perusal of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63695 of 2023(3) dt.01-12-2023 2/2 that report, it shows that charges were framed on 10.04.2023 and out of seven charge-sheeted witnesses, only one witness has been examined. The report does not show whether the witness examined was hostile or contesting witness.

4. The learned trial court is directed to take every endeavour to dispose of the case within six months. If the trial is not concluded within six months, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
