The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Kanti P.S. Case No.16 of 2012 registered under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Keeping in mind the specific allegation that the petitioner subjected the victim to cruelty and caused injuries on her person for which she was taken to the Government Hospital for treatment, I am not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail is
