2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Nalanda Cyber P.S. Case No. 28 of 2024 dated 13.03.2024 registered for the offences punishable u/ss 386, 419, 420, 120 and 66D of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, on 13.03.2024, the informant received a Whatsapp call from an unknown person on the number +923478456474. The caller claimed that the informant's child was caught by the Delhi Police and was being severely beaten. Another person then mimicked the child's voice and said that they were beaten badly demanding Rs. 50,000/-.

Later, when the informant contacted his child who told him that he was in his room and did not have any problem. Thereafter, the informant came to know that he has has been cheated.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. The name of the petitioner has surfaced in this case merely on suspicion. The petitioner had never demanded any money from the informant. The petitioner is a student, studying in B.Com Part-2 in Jagannath Mishra College, Muzaffarpur and he has no concern with the alleged offence. Nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. The petitioner has clean antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 26.04.2024.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of custody, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond

No.63508 of 2024(4) dt.17-02-2025 3/3 of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Nalanda (Biharshareef) in connection with Nalanda Cyber P.S. Case No. 28 of 2024 with the condition :- (i) The petitioner is directed to remain physically present before the learned Court below on each and every date, failing which on two consecutive dates without reasonable cause, the bail bond of the petitioner is liable to be cancelled.
7. The application stands allowed.
