The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 8, 21 and 22(b) of the NDPS Act, 1985.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 5.6.2020 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. No. 14865 of 2020 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after completing one year in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 18.11.2019.

Heard learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the liberty granted to the petitioner by the aforesaid order dated 5.6.2020

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.71337 of 2021(2) dt.05-01-2022 2/2 and the petitioner having remained in custody for more than 2 years, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Special Case no. 31 of 2019 (NDPS Act) (arising out of Sadar P.S. Case no. 566 of 2019) on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, NDPS Act, Purnea.
