This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Barsoi P.S.Case No.65 of 2016, vide Sessions Trial No.14 of 2017, registered for the offences under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is of committing dowry death and he is husband.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that as a matter of fact, at the time of occurrence he along with the other persons were watching 'Kauwali', as such he has been falsely implicated in this case and no specific allegation has been attributed against him. It is also submitted that now the trial has commenced and three witnesses have been examined in this case. The petitioner is in custody for more than one year.

Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, considering the fact that three witnesses have been examined, as such, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and try to conclude it within a period of six months.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
