2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Chautarva P.S. Case No. 156 of 2024 dated 25.06.2024 registered for the offences punishable u/ss 304B, 201 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the marriage of the informant's daughter was solemnized with the co-accused, Md. Shahid. After marriage, the petitioner and the co-accused persons tortured and assaulted the informant's daughter due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. On 18.06.2024, the informant's daughter called the informant and stated that the co-accused, Md. Sahid and his family members were assaulting
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64871 of 2024(3) dt.16-12-2024 2/3 her with the intention to kill. Thereafter, the mobile phone of the informant's daughter was switched off. The informant apprehends that the petitioner and the co-accused persons have killed her daughter and concealed the dead body.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased and she has no concern with the family affairs of the deceased. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner. The petitioner is neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant's daughter. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged offence. It is further submitted that the husband of the deceased is already in custody. The petitioner has clean antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is a lady and she is in custody since 27.06.2024.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of custody, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court
