Petitioner has prayed for following relief:- "That, the present writ application, is being filed on behalf of the petitioner challenging the order of the S.D.O., Araria dated 04.10.2007 by which the retail licence granted to the petitioner bearing no.10k/07 for carrying on business as a dealer under the Public Distribution System under the provisions of Bihar Trade Articles (licences Unification) Order 1984 has been cancelled."

Petitioner has filed this writ petition against the order dated 04.10.2007 passed by S.D.O.-cum- licensing authority, Araria by which, the PDS license of petitioner has been cancelled.

Patna High Court CWJC No.20969 of 2021 dt.14-02-2022 2/2 Petitioner has not availed the statutory remedies provided under the Control Order and has approached this Court after more than fourteen years from the date of order of cancellation of his PDS licence.

Petitioner has approached this Court after inordinate delay for which, no sufficient reasons has been furnished, as such, present writ petition is dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
