The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 386, 387, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case in nutshell is that petitioner along with other co-accused persons came at the work site of the informant and demanded an extortion of Rs. Seven Lakhs and threatened of dire consequences.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged occurrence as well as the other co-accused

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61784 of 2022(2) dt.09-02-2023 2/2 persons. It is also submitted that the demand of ransom has not been executed. Petitioner has surrendered on 5.7.2022 and since then he is languishing in judicial custody. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for Bail.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No. 12 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M. 1st, East Champaran, Motihari.
