This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with G.R.No.11 of 2016 , registered for the offences punishable under Sections ----20(b) of N.D.P.S. Act and Section 47(a) of amended Bihar Excise Act, 2016.

Allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of 63 kg. of Ganja from the vehicle, to which the petitioner is said to be Driver.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is driver only and he has nothing to do with the seized article and he has no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is in custody for about a year.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and considering huge

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33050 of 2017 (7) dt.07-09-2017 2/2 quantity of recovery of Ganja from the vehicle, which the petitioner was driving, as such, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, since the petitioner is in custody for about a year, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it as soon as possible and if possible within the period of nine months.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
