Mr. Government Advocate (10) ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-09-2024 Heard Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned Government Advocate-10 for the respondents.

2. The petitioner, in paragraph no.1 of the present writ application, has sought for, inter alia, following reliefs, which is reproduced hereinafter:

"I. For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Certiorari of for quashing Annexure-7, the final result dated 31.08.2017 for the post of Home Guard, so far as it relates to the district of Gopalganj for which the vacancies were notified vide advertisement no. 01/2011 dated 30.07.2011 as the same is result of mass bungling and malpractices on the part of selection Committee and vacancies are advertised for appointment of Home Guard on district wise, but respondent authorities have doing malpractices and appointed the candidates on Block wide. (ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to hold a

Patna High Court CWJC No.13710 of 2024(2) dt.10-09-2024 2/2 proper enquiry / investigation from the independent enquiry agency so that the mass bungling, which has been taken place during the entire process of selection may be unearth and those who are guilty of such malpractices be dealt with properly in accordance with law and further direct the respondents authorities to appoint the petitioner on the post of Home Guard on in Gopalganj district.

(iii) For issuance of any other appropraite writ/writs, order/orders, direction / directions for which the petitioner will be found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. Learned counsel in view of the development which has taken place seeks to file a detailed representation before the District Mangistrate, Gopalganj.

4. Considering the limited relief as sought for on behalf of the petitioner, the petitioner, if so advised, may file a detailed representation giving all the particulars in his own respect before the District Magistrate, Gopalganj for consideration of his grievance and the District Magistrate, Gopalganj, is directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law.

5. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
