The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Sasaram Nagar P.S. Case No.190 of 2022 instituted under Sections 498A of the IPC and 3⁄4 of the Dowry Act. As per the prosecution story, the informant has alleged that the marriage of his daughter was solemnized in 2020 but thereafter she was tortured for dowry and fed up with the same this FIR was lodged.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that both the petitioners are married sisters-in-law (Nanad) living away from the couple and have nothing to do with the present case. Learned APP on the other hand opposes the prayer for
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.69938 of 2022(2) dt.25-01-2023 2/2 anticipatory bail.
Considering the fact that both the ladies are married sisters-in-law (Nanad) do not have criminal antecedent, they will be cooperating in the police investigation and ultimately will have to face the trial, this Court is inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail.
Let the petitioners be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the Sub-ordinate court within a period of four weeks from the receipt of this order, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Sasaram Nagar P.S. Case No.190 of 2022 to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Sasaram, Rohtas, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
