2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the following reliefs:

"i. For issuance of appropriate Writ/Writs, direction/directions in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writs, Order or Orders for directing the

Patna High Court CWJC No.13607 of 2025 dt.30-06-2026 2/3 concerned respondents to consider the past service rendered in the Department of Police as Sepoy from 06.04.2002 to 11.04.2013 by the petitioner for the purpose of extending the pensionary benefits and accordingly, make entry of the same in the Service Book of the petitioner.

ii. For any other relief/reliefs which the Hon'ble court may grant in the interest of the petitioner that may be deemed appropriate and necessary in this case.''

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has filed a representation before the various authorities for redressal of his grievances, but till date no decision has been taken on his representation. Counsel further submits that petitioner is admittedly working at present on the post of Police Sub-Inspector.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that direction may be given for disposal of the representation of the petitioner within a fixed time frame.

5. Under the circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation before respondent No. 3, namely, the Inspector General of Police, Patna, along with a copy of this order, within 30 days from today. Upon receipt of the representation, the respondent No. 3, namely, the Inspector

Patna High Court CWJC No.13607 of 2025 dt.30-06-2026 3/3 General of Police, Patna, is directed to take a decision on the said representation within 90 days from the date of its filing, with a reasoned and speaking order.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
