2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 56 of 2024 registered for the offences under Sections 20, 23, 24 of the N.D.P.S. Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, it is alleged that 40 bottles of codeine rich cough syrup has been recovered from the petitioner.
4. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and he is in jail since 11.4.2024.
5. Considering the aforesaid facts and the nature of allegation, this application is allowed.
6. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64415 of 2024(2) dt.01-10-2024 2/2 bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-IV-cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Madhubani in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 56 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. No. 32 of 2024.
7. As a condition of this order, the petitioner after being released on bail is directed to mark his attendance at Basopatti Police Station on every Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the police station will result in cancellation of bail bonds of the petitioner. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Vikas/- U T
