The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Salkhua (Banma Itahari OP) P.S. Case No. 121 of 2021 for the offences registered under Sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code.

The specific allegation is against the petitioner is that he forcibly took the victim lady Mamta Devi and when the villagers tried to stop him he also opened fire. It was due to the immediate response of the villagers as also the police that the victim lady was recovered from the house of the petitioner. Considering the specific allegation made against the petitioner in the FIR, this Court is not inclined to grant him

The bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest.
