2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Sursand P.S. Case No. 481 of 2022, registered under Sections 414 and 413/34 of the IPC and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2022.
3. As per the first information report, on a secret information, while the police team was checking the vehicles coming from Nepal, a motorcycle was spotted coming, on seeing the police party, the motorcyclists tried to escape, however, they were apprehended and total 18 liters of Nepali Gaurav Saufi liquor was recovered and seized.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused Rajan Kumar. The seized article does not belong to the petitioner nor the motorcycle, from which
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66252 of 2025(2) dt.24-09-2025 2/2 liquor was recovered. The petitioner is a person with clean antecedents.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Exclusive Special Excise Court-II, Sitamarhi, in connection with Sursand P.S. Case No. 481 of 2022 subject to the condition as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the B.N.S.S., 2023.
