2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 162 of 2025 arising out of Raiyam P. S. Case No. 104 of 2024 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

3. Prosecution case, in brief, is that on 08.12.2024, scuffle took place between this petitioner and his brother and in course of scuffle, this petitioner assaulted his brother as a result of which he died on the spot.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. As a matter of fact, deceased was an alcoholic and on the day of occurrence, he came home in drunken stage, due to which altercation took

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application.

6. Considering the nature of accusation and gravity of the offence, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

7. However, since petitioner is in custody since 09.12.2024, Trial Court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial, preferably, within a period of one year from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
