JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 21-02-2023 This criminal revision application has been filed against order dated 29.09.2016 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Gopalganj in Maintenance Case No. 311 of 2014 whereby, the petitioner has been directed to pay Rs. 4,000/- per month to opposite party No. 2 (wife of the petitioner) and Rs. 2,000/- per month to minor daughter as maintenance allowance. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the impugned order has been passed without hearing the petitioner and has not taken into consideration the case of the petitioner.

From paragraph no. 3 of the impugned order, it appears that in spite of notice, petitioner did not choose to

I have carefully perused the impugned order. The monthly maintenance allowance of Rs. 4,000/- per month to opposite party No. 2 (wife of the petitioner) and Rs. 2,000/- per month to minor daughter, in this age of high inflation, cannot be said to be on higher side or excessive.

In the facts and circumstances of the case as mentioned in the impugned order, I do not find any illegality or irregularity in the impugned order, which requires any interference by this Court. The findings of the Court below are based on the evidences.

I do not find any merit in this application. This criminal revision application is, accordingly, dismissed. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
