The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No.190 of 2019 registered under Sections 323, 307, 498A, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code besides Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The accusation is of torturing the opposite party no.2 by her husband and other in-laws for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand, as also pouring kerosene oil by her husband on her with an intention to kill and also removing the opposite

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57588 of 2019(2) dt.11-09-2019 2/2 party no.2 from the matrimonial house by snatching her personal belongings.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law, whereas the petitioner no.2 is the Gotani of the opposite party no.2 but with an ulterior motive they have also been implicated in this case. Both the petitioners have no criminal antecedents.

Having considered the facts and the circumstances of the case, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender by them within six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on their furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari, in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No.190 of 2019, subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
