2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) of N.D.P.S. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, while the informant and other police personnel were on patrolling duty, they noticed two persons carrying baskets. On seeing the police, they tried to flee away. On chase, the petitioner was apprehended at the spot and upon search, 2.5 kg of charas was recovered from his possession.

4. It appears from the records of the case that the stage of the case had been called for and the latest report

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64991 of 2025(4) dt.19-12-2025 2/2 discloses the fact that out of seven charge-sheeted witnesses, five witnesses have already been examined and the next date of examination was fixed for 28.11.2025.

5. In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at such an advance stage of the case. Accordingly, the prayer of regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No.25 of 2024 arising out of Ramgarhwa P.S. Case No.389 of 2023.

6. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer bail in case the trial is not concluded within six months.
