1. Heard the parties.

2. An I.A. No. 1 of 2024 has been filed for impleading Electric Executive Engineer as respondent No. 4 and the same is allowed. The petitioner is directed to implead respondent No. 4 during the course of the day.

3. The petitioner by way of present writ application, is

Patna High Court CWJC No.15098 of 2023(3) dt.12-02-2024 2/3 seeking a direction to the Electric Executive Engineer S.B.P.D.C.L. Ramnagari, Ashiyana, to consider the application of the petitioner, submitted online, for providing new electric connection in the household of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has duly applied for electric connection on 20th June, 2023, through online mode and a request number was generated bearing No. 523011406607, 523011406077 and 523011406411. He further submits that when no connection was granted to the petitioner, he filed a representation before the Executive Engineer on 15.07.2023, but still no decision has been taken for providing electric connection to the petitioner's household.

5. Learned counsel for the S.B.P.D.C.L. submits that the application of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with law and the Executive Engineer shall take a decision, on the application of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks' positively.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the submissions, this application is

Ramnagari, Ashiyana, to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of new connection within a period of four weeks' from today and if the application of the petitioner is found in order, the electric connection shall be provided to the petitioner's household immediately.
