The petitioners before this Court are the daughter of the erstwhile employee, who died in harness while working as an Assistant Telecom Technician in SDE Supaul under BSNL, Darbhanga on 01.10.2021. On being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, especially the respondent authorities of the Employees Provident Fund Office, Patna, they have approached

Patna High Court CWJC No.14630 of 2024(2) dt.23-07-2025 2/2 this Court seeking a direction upon them to ensure the payment of EPF with interest to the petitioners.

Mr. Bhola Prasad, learned Advocate for the petitioners submitted that for redressal of the grievance, as claimed for in the writ petition, the petitioners have also approached before the Accounts Officer, EPFO Patna and they have been informed that though the amount has been sanctioned, but it has not been forwarded to the BSNL, due to which the same could not be paid till date.

4. Learned Advocate for the respondent nos. 3 and 4 seeks a short adjournment to get instruction and apprise this Court with regard to the present position.

5. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioners, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the respondent nos. 3, 4 and 5 to look into the matter and settled the claim of the petitioners, as has been disclosed in Annexure-4 to the writ petition, preferably within a period of twelve weeks, from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition stands disposed off.
