The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 304B, 201, 341, 323, 120B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

As per the prosecution case, the daughter of the informant was married to the son of the petitioner. Soon after the marriage, the accused persons including the petitioner herein started making demand of dowry for purchasing a Scooty followed by demand of Rs.2 lacs for purchasing a car. Ultimately, the daughter of the informant was done to death. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. She is

She is in custody since 28.7.2021 and chargesheet has been submitted in the case. It is further submitted that the husband of the deceased is in custody. Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the petitioner who is mother-in-law of the deceased having remained in custody for more than 6 months and chargesheet having been submitted in the case, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Belsand P.S. Case no.36 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate I, Sitamarhi.
