The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 384/34 of the Indian Penal Code as well as Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The petitioner was posted as Sub-Inspector of Police. The FIR was lodged on the basis of a social media clipping of conversation of this petitioner and other constables with truck driver demanding bribe for allowing the movement of truck. In paragraph 21 of the case diary there is details of conversation. Submission of the petitioner is that sound is not of the petitioner and the petitioner is always ready to get this voice

Considering the nature of allegation and material against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for anticipatory bail in connection with Special Case No.31 of 2016 arising out of Galgalia P.S. Case No.45 of 2016 pending in the court of learned Special Judge, Vigilance-II, Patna is rejected.
