27-07-2015 Heard Sri Alok Kumar Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.C. to Addl. Advocate General - 14 as well as Sri V.N.Sahay, learned counsel, who appears on behalf of respondent no. 4.
In the present writ petition, the petitioner, which is a pharmaceutical company, has prayed for quashing of an order passed in Gratuity Appeal Case No. 01 of 2013 by the Labour
Patna High Court CWJC No.24635 of 2013 (3) dt.27-07-2015 2/2 Commissioner-cum-Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. By the said order, the appeal preferred by the petitioners has been dismissed. The appeal was preferred in a case, in which, a meagre amount of rupees forty six thousand and odd was required to be paid, as gratuity amount, to the respondent no. 4.
Keeping in view the fact that payment of gratuity of a meagre amount is involved and the same has already been sanctioned in the year 2013 itself, the Court is not inclined to interfere with the matter.
The writ petition stands dismissed.
