The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Bakhtiyarpur P.S. Case No. 44/2017, registered for the offences punishable under Section 307 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The informant alleged that the petitioners called him and thereafter assaulted him and snatched his chain made of gold and Rs. 1800/- from his pocket, when the informant protested, the petitioner fired, but the shot did not hit the informant. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are neighbours of the informant. They have falsely been implicated in the case, but there is nothing on record to show that the petitioners have got any enmity with the informant. The

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23766 of 2017 (2) dt.14-07-2017 2/2 petitioners not only snatched chain made of gold and money from the pocket of the informant, but also opened firing. Empty cartridge was recovered from the place of occurrence. Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above-named on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
