The petitioner is in custody since 03.09.2018 in connection with Sarai Ranjan P.S. Case No. 142 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 420, 489A, 489B, 489C and 48D of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a student and he may be dealt with liberally as the informant has taken the signature of the petitioner on plain paper and has made the seizure list which has been marked as part of the first information report. He further submits that the petitioner has been languishing in jail for the past four months and he has no criminal antecedent. In view of such facts and circumstances, he may be extended the privilege of bail.

No.78384 of 2018(2) dt.28-01-2019 2/2 Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State, I find that apparently the petitioner had been indulging in preparing photo copies of Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 currency notes and during the course of investigation, it has also found that he had tried to use the same at the petrol pump. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. It is accordingly, rejected.
