The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with Kishanganj P.S. Case No.357 of 2018, registered for offences punishable under Section 420, 201, 120B of the Indian Penal Code & 11 of the Gambling Act and 3/4 Bihar Lottery Act. As per F.I.R., allegation against the petitioner is of involvement in gambling in context of IPL match. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that a raid was conducted in the house of petitioner from where accused Ajeet Singh was a tenant and only on the confessional statement of accused, Ajeet Singh, the petitioner has been implicated in this case and moreover the cognizance has been

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.41912 of 2018 (2) dt.19-07-2018 2/2 taken against the petitioner, is bailable. It is also submitted that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Learned A.P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.

Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as discussed above, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from the date of the order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Kishanganj P.S. Case No.357 of 2018 to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kishanganj, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 ( 2) Cr.P.C. with other that bailors should be local having sufficient immovable property within the jurisdiction of the Court concerned.
