JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 23-07-2015 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 21.3.2015 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code and section 17 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act.

The prosecution case is that extortion was demanded from the informant through letters. Name of the petitioner sprang up in the confession of co accused Ashok Mahto and Chandan Kumar alias Chandan Marandi alias Chandrashekhar Azad. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that except confession nothing has been collected during investigation against the petitioner and investigation has concluded.

No.25762 of 2015 (2) dt.23-07-2015 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned SDJM, Sherghati, Gaya in connection with Sherghati P.S. Case No. 283 of 2014.

Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, the learned court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bonds of the petitioner in case the petitioner defaults, without any reasonable cause, on three consecutive occasions. (Dinesh Kumar Singh, J) Anil/- U T
