The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Special Case No. 7070 of 2020 arising out of Sigori P.S. Case No. 207 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 17.08.2021, charge-sheet has been submitted in the case and has antecedent of seven cases. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation is of recovery of 50 litres of liquor from jungle. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 17.08.2021, charge-sheet has been submitted in the case and was not arrested from the spot, let the petitioner above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 7070 of 2020 arising out of Sigori P.S. Case No. 207 of 2020.
