Petitioner apprehends the arrest in connection with S.C./S.T. P.S. Case No. 68 of 2014 instituted under Sections 341, 323, 406 and other allied sections of Penal Code and Section 3(i)(vi)(x) of the SC/ST Act.

The allegation in the F.I.R. is that the informant provided contract labour service to the petitioner. When the due wages in the sum of Rs. 52,000/- was demanded, petitioner instead of giving the same assaulted him after tying his hands and legs. He was forcibly made to sign on blank paper and thereafter abused taking name of his caste.

From the impugned order, it appears some of the witnesses have supported the case of the prosecution and the investigation is still on.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, in my view, the petitioner does not deserve privilege of anticipatory bail. Prayer is rejected. In case the petitioner surrenders and prays for bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit uninfluenced by the present order.
