In view of the limited prayer made at the time of hearing of the writ application, the same is being disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail an alternative remedy of statutory appeal provided under section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. If such an appeal is filed within a period of 30 days with a petition for condonation of delay in preferring the appeal, then the authority concerned shall pass an appropriate order on its own merit in accordance with law also considering the period during which this writ application remained pending before this Court.
