The petitioners are apprehending arrest in connection with Sugauli P.S. Case No. 82 of 2020 instituted under Sections 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2022 lodged on 06.2.2020 by the informant, Rohit.

As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that on 06.02.2020, during patrolling, upon secret information, the raiding party searched different places and recovered/seized 150 litres of semi prepared liquor beneath the earth and further destroyed the 'Bhatti' as also 1250 litres and several persons have been named, the two petitioners amongst them.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they have been falsely implicated in this case.
5. On the other hand, learned APP has drawn attention of this Court to paragraph-3 of the petition to show that they have a number of criminal antecedent of the same nature and further the matter is of the year 2020 but the anticipatory bail application has been preferred four years later.
6. Considering the submissions put forward by the learned APP, the petition stands rejected.
7. However, if the petitioners surrender within four weeks from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of on the same day preferably.
