2. The present Criminal Miscellaneous application has been filed for modification of order dated 24.07.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 50766 of 2024, seeking an extension of time granted to the petitioner. The petitioners were directed to surrender before the Trial Court within four weeks' from date of the order, which was lapsed on 20.08.2024. However, due to an
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.68282 of 2024(4) dt.19-03-2025 2/2 inadvertent mistake, the petitioners went to surrender before the Trial Court on 21.08.2024 but due to Bharat Band they again reached the Court on 22.08.2024 with bailors and thus could not comply the order within the stipulated time. Consequently, the present application has been filed before this Hon'ble Court for an extension of the surrender period.
3. Learned APP for the State and Opposite Party No. 2 has raised objections regarding the extension of the time.
4. In the present facts and circumstances, the time for surrender is hereby extended for two weeks from today. It is made clear that no further extension shall be granted in this matter.
5. With the aforesaid directions, this application is hereby allowed, and the order dated 24.07.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 50766 of 2024 is modified to grant an extension of the surrender time for two weeks, counting from today. (Dr. Anshuman, J.) Aman Kumar/- U
