The petitioner is in custody in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 384 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 66A, 66C and 66E of the Information and Technology Act.

Informant is MLA of Legislative Assembly, who in her written complaint has alleged that she received message on her government mobile number for ransom of Rs. 5 lakhs otherwise she was threatened to be killed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. He next submits that petitioner is not named in the FIR and he is in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.65674 of 2024(2) dt.07-02-2025 2/2 custody since 19.06.2024. He next submits that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by a coordinate Benches of this Court passed in Cr. Misc. Nos.67305 of 2018 and 71035 of 2018.

Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the fact that similarly situated co-accused persons have also been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ACJM-I, Supaul in connection with Triveniganj P.S. Case No. 178 of 2015.
